About this house rental
Quiet studio, between 2 lavender fields. Independent building of an old 18th century farmhouse, fully equipped 5 minutes by car from Forcalquier: 1 large room with double bed 140cm, lounge area with 2 armchairs, dining area with table and chair, fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, bread grill, kettle, coffee maker, blender, fan and electric radiator, wifi.
Small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. A washing machine is at your disposal in the main building. Private garden with deckchair, table and chairs, plancha and barbecue but also a large garden around the farmhouse, where you can enjoy the hammock under the hundred-year-old lime tree. Direct view of the lavender field from inside the cottage.
On site, vegetable dyeing courses on site at the ilys workshop, departure of hiking trails and bike circuits, Two bicycles available under your responsibility. The shops and the village of Forcalquier are 5km away (7 minutes by car), a supermarket 4km away at the entrance to Forcalquier. The village of Pierrerue is 2km away.
To visit around the cottage the villages of Provence (Banon, Simiane, Sigonce, Lardiers, ...), the many country bistros, the gorges of the Verdon (1h30), the ochres of Roussillon (1h), the priory of Salagon and its unique gardens (5km), the mountain of Lure (17km, 30mn), the rocks of Mourres (6km), the monastery of Ganagobie, the town of Sisteron (40mn), the many hikes.
Breakfast or meals can be ordered on site 24 hours in advance.

Isabelle Michel and family were incredible hosts! We had the opportunity to have a 5 course Provençal dinner with Isabelle and her family made with all local ingredients from the area. It was a beautiful meal with great conversation and felt like we got a true taste of the food and people that make Provence so unique. Isabelle also does natural dye print workshops using pigments sourced from the property. We will definitely come back and enroll in the workshop. Our experience could not have been more perfect. For anyone looking for a beautiful countryside stay with a truly unique introduction to the region this is a perfect choice!
