About this house rental
Aloha & welcome to our home - Hale Kika @ Poipu Kai resort. Hale Kika is an open concept beach house with great views from the main living area, 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. Views from the house span from the Haupu Mountain to full ocean views. Our 2-storey home offers a relaxed, quiet environment, with expansive covered Ipe lanais on both levels, perfect for enjoying your favorite book or a meal with family and friends. On the ground floor are 2 guest bedrooms, a bathroom and large laundry room with washer and dryer. One guest bedroom offers a queen-bed and a private Ipe deck & lanai with ocean views. The second guest bedroom offers 2 twin-beds which can be reconfigured as a king-bed.
Located on the 2nd floor is the master suite, and an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. The master bedroom is roomy, with a king-bed, an ensuite bathroom complete with double-sinks, a large dual-head walk-in shower and walk-in closet space for an extended stay. There are glorious views from the master as well.
The kitchen is updated with granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, a gas stove-top and oven (rare on Kauai), and beautiful Koa cabinetry. Our home is very well maintained and appointed with all the comforts of home as well as the amenities you need for your adventure exploring, snorkeling or swimming while on the island of Kauai. A great breeze circulates throughout to keep it cool and cozy during your stay.
Hale Kika is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, and plenty of open spaces to absorb the sun and view the Pacific. The Poipu Kai resort has carefully manicured grounds, well-lit walking paths, 8 tennis courts, and a recently remodeled resort pool and spa. Poipu Bay Golf (0.5 mile) and Kiahuna Golf (1.5 mile) courses are nearby. Hale Kika is within minutes from Shipwrecks Beach, one of our favorite surf spots; and the start of the famous Mahaulepu Heritage hiking trail; less than a 1/2 mile from Brenneckes Beach, Baby Beach; or from the Poipu Kai resort tennis courts and resort pool and spa.

My family of six adults stayed here for the first week in July. We couldn’t have asked for a better place! The house is just beautiful. And it’s furnished very comfortably with everything you could possibly want, including loads of small appliances, cookware, dishes, towels, etc and so many pantry staples. All the beach gear was exactly as promised and in great shape! The views from the lanai were wonderful! It was so lovely to sit out there and have breakfast every morning looking at the ocean. The A/C worked very well. We only used it in the bedrooms at night, and kept the main living area open to the outside, including the high windows over the front door for cross ventilation, and we always had the fans on. Everything we wanted to do in the Koloa area was a 6 to 8 minute drive away so this was an ideal location. It was about a 17 minute walk along the greenbelt to a swimmable beach (Poipu), but with a wagon to help we managed to get a cooler, six beach chairs, two umbrellas and all of our beach gear there no problem. Finally, Raff is an exceptional host! He was excellent communicating with us! There were virtually no issues, but the couple of questions we did have he responded to immediately. Additionally the departure procedures were minimal and easy to take care of, which allowed us to leave with our Aloha spirit intact! A perfect vacation! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hale Kika! Property is in a great location. Walking distance to Shipwreck Beach, trails, and hiking! We especially enjoyed having beach gear available at the house! We plan to return!!

House was perfect for me, my wife, and 4 kids (high school and college). Great location and easy walk to beautiful beach. Poipu beach and surroundings provide all you need for beach, surfing, shopping etc and a little less commercial than other spots. Kitchen and fridge provided everything we needed to cook when desired and the beach chairs and coolers were nice to have for day trips. Highly recommended.
