We had our summervacation in the house. Spend time in the garden, by the pool and on the river. Recommend to go visit.

Agnes the owner is very nice. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, be sure to check out the Church in a field of sunflowers about 4 miles away. Train to Paris is easy and about an hours ride. You will need a car to get around though in general including to the station.

First, the pluses. The tennis court and pool were very nice, as well as the owner of the property. We had cool, rainy weather during our stay, so we ended up leaving early. The location is near many of the must-see chateaus and about an hour from Paris. You must have a car because nothing is located within walking distance. Now, for the minuses. The house itself was in a deteriorated, rather shabby state with chipping paint, old & worn furnishings, torn curtains and not very clean. The pictures do not reflect the true condition. I had to go to the local grocery to buy disinfectant cleanser to clean the walls in our bedrooms, as there were no headboards for the beds and it was very dirty. We did not even bother using the kitchen. The landscaping around the cottage was neglected. A fresh coat of paint, thourough cleaning, replacing the worn furnishings and sprucing up the landscaping would make a tremendous difference. There is a lot of potential, but truly in need of TLC.
