The house was perfect for a group of friends. We were climbing in the area and the house was within short driving distance of the crags. Local amenities for groceries and boulangerie was perfect. It was a quite place to retreat to after a long climbing day to relax. The kitchen was well equipped. It was a lovely home for the time we were in it.

This house is an absolute gem! A traditional house which has been beautifully restored and a little house in the courtyard with a bedroom and bathroom. Just be aware that in the main house you have to walk through a double bedroom to get to the twin bedroom which is no problem if you are all family! There is also a lovely garden.
We loved walking down to the river which is a couple of minutes away to swim, kayak and paddle board. The boulanerie a minutes walk away is fabulous.
It is easy to get into Paris (40 min by train from Fontainebleau-avon)
We had a wonderful week here and would love to come back.

Beautiful old french house. The essential were clean (i.e. kitchen, bathroom s, bedding), it was just a bit dusty, with a few spiders webs.

The house has so much charme, it's lovely - and it still comes with all the conveniences you need in daily life. The kitchen was perfectly equippet, the bedrooms comfortable and there's lots of space to sit together and chat. This place is great when you want your peace and quiet and when you want to go bouldering in the forest of Fontainbleau. Would go again any time! (Super convenient: bakery, small supermarket, post office and a delicious pizzeria just around the corner!)
