100 meters from the sea Villa immersed in the greenery

The property is a small but perfectly formed place suitable for a family of four. Two reasonable sized bedrooms with a bathroom upstairs, plus kitchenette and lounge dining area downstairs. Outside there's a small unkempt garden and terrace area with a further larger dining set. The property is located in a private estate of similar houses, with designated parking, tennis courts, swimming pool and a pizzeria. We were not told that the tennis and pool are paid services €2/person each time. Also, the restaurant doesn't start serve until 7.30pm, so good to be aware of if you're planning to eat there after a tiring day of travelling with young ones! The excellent beach is a 7-8 minute walk, which is really handy when you can't be bothered to drive, though you will need a car. The only real downside is the lack of Wi-Fi, even though it is advertised. There is no dedicated Wi-Fi at the property, though reportedly there is in the park but we could not access it. It was a blessing in disguise for us as it meant not staring at TV, and there is ample 3G and 4G coverage on the island.

We chose this location on the basis of the very well presented photos of the property and the beach. When we first opened the door our immediate impression was how dark the property was inside. No windows in the bedrooms or bathroom upstairs, just shafts through the roof which opened readily enough but did not close easily - not good when it rains. The bathroom was small and the shower was tiny. Downstairs, the lounge/kitchen diner was thoroughly adequate and everything necessary was provided. However, the veranda outside was dark and the traditional bamboo awning, leaked whenever it rained The BBQ in the garden was so full of ash as to be completely unusable. The beach is stupendous. It is closer to 300 metres away, but the walk is pleasant on a good day. Likewise the car park is a good 300 metres from the property. There is no internet at the property and it is only intermittently available at the reception area - 400 metres away. We would suggest citronella candles to deter the mosquitoes.
