About this house rental
Upstairs boutique suite featuring 2 bedrooms plus a room with a trundle bed. Fully stocked kitchen with Keurig and supplied coffee pods. Relaxing living room with wifi and most streaming services. Dining room. Bathroom has claw foot bathtub to soak or shower in. Balcony with two chairs to sit and watch the passer byers. This suite is located close to the library, is in the historic district of Columbus, and is walkable to downtown shops and restaurants. This suite is not handicapped capable and no pets are allowed.
The first Mayor of Columbus, Smith Jones, built the house in 1860. Then in 1930 another mayor of Columbus, Karl Volland bought the house. He turned it into a two family home, as it is configured today.

The property worked for our weekend needs, the only bathroom was extremely small and the floors were very noisy/creaky. If you plan on using the trundle bed, don’t…the bottom bed portion only comes out about halfway and the bed is in a portion of the home that is very warm and has stairs to the backyard so would not put children there. Bring fans if you like it cooler when you sleep. If stairs are difficult for you, this is not the place to stay. The house was very quirky though and great location with easy parking.
