Great location for walking to downtown Columbus. It was very clean and well appointed. The 3rd bedroom is a bit of a stretch - both of our kids were a bit freaked out by the outside access and staircase into the room.

The property is charming and perfectly located. It gives you the sense of being part of the historic community. Quick walk to downtown. We would stay there again. Just a few items to be aware of: it is a duplex and the entire house is on the upper level, as you enter you must climb very steep stairs, there isn’t a dishwasher (wasn’t a problem for us - we ate out), the bathroom is teeny tiny, one of the bedrooms is at the front of the house and the bathroom is way in the rear of the house, the bathtub does not have any safety handles. Just items to be aware of when making your decision.

Everything was just perfect in this beautiful, historic home. The space was described accurately and the kitchen was wonderful for cooking a quick meal. And check in was so easy. The location is wonderful for walking to all of Columbus' downtown sites and events. Our family from FL loved everything about it and want to come back in the fall for a family birthday!

A perfect downtown location, but on a quiet one way street. Once we arrived we were able to walk to restaurants, shopping, and church. We enjoyed the self-guided driving tour of the architecture and art, plus we traveled to the Mill Race Park, which was beautiful. We took the tour of the Miller House, which is a mid century marvel. The town is home to so many architectural landmarks, it is truly worth the trip. The Mayor’s House couldn’t have been better, with comfortable Queen bed, handy kitchen, and tastefully decorated surroundings. Highly recommend!

Great location to access downtown Columbus. Owners were very hospitable. Comfortable bedrooms; the bathroom is a little small but overall convenient and good place to stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay, even though it was a short one. The home was very clean and very cute. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was nicely stocked with essentials, and the location was perfect. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We unfortunately had car trouble while in town and were able to find a place to help us out in an emergency. So relieved to be able to make our daughter's graduation in Bloomington on time! We would love to visit Columbus again to see more of the city and its architecture, and we recommend this property.

We arrived at 7pm on a Friday and departed at 11:00 sharp Sunday. My two sons, 10 & 12 and I participated in several youth football games at the Nexus Park complex in Columbus. I don't do well with loud hotels and kids running up and down the halls all night, so VBRO is the way to go. The house was very cozy, clean and with essentially four sleeping areas, wifi and full kitchen, we were right at home. We made breakfast each morning and enjoyed our time. Will stay again.Highly recommended.

There are stairs, but it’s with every step! Gorgeous entryway. Most enjoyable stay. Hosts were super nice and helpful.

The property worked for our weekend needs, the only bathroom was extremely small and the floors were very noisy/creaky. If you plan on using the trundle bed, don’t…the bottom bed portion only comes out about halfway and the bed is in a portion of the home that is very warm and has stairs to the backyard so would not put children there. Bring fans if you like it cooler when you sleep. If stairs are difficult for you, this is not the place to stay. The house was very quirky though and great location with easy parking.

Our stay was good our only complaint was the creaky flooring/stairs. Couldn’t go to the bathroom after going to bed without waking your partner due to the floors being so noisy.

The house was very cute, plenty of space for our family of four. We were in Columbus for a baseball tournament, and it was nice to have room to relax after a day at the ball field. The location was perfect for dining, shopping the outlets, and we had an easy commute to Ceraland Sports Park.

Walking distance to downtown. 2nd floor of cute historic home with a lot of character. Wood floors are beautiful but very creaky. Steps to 2nd floor could be considered steep to older generations. Quite neighborhood with parking right out front. Beds were comfortable. It was everything we needed.

It was a great place. Plenty of room and in a great location just to walk around the town for breakfast, etc. They also had a separate thermostat for upstairs, so we were not at the mercy of someone else's comfort level. That's a luxury in these situations.
We were there for a concert at Brown County Music Center and that was an easy 14 mile drive. Thanks Bill

This was three adult family/friends who met for a few days w/o kids. Columbus and Nashville were great. The stay was great, small trundle bed was squeaky but we expected that. Shower was hot, living room was comfy for visiting. A great experience!

The owner Bill was very friendly and even greeted us after our 1st night. He was informative about the local community and just a nice guy.
The property was immaculate and cozy, filled with necessities, would have liked a tv or two in the bedrooms but the family room tv was ok for my son and I
I would stay here again and will recommend to any friends planning to stay in Columbus

My friend and I had a girls weekend and decided to stay at the Mayors Suite in downtown Columbus. If you like old/historic homes, then I recommend! The staircase leading up to the suite is absolutely beautiful and the textured walls in the main family room are really unique! The owners were great with communication, very helpful, and attentive. A big plus is being within walking distance of the main downtown area of Columbus for stores and restaurants. Enjoyed!
