About this villa rental
This fabulous recently renovated 4 BD - 4 ½ BA home is a guesthouse within the grounds of a wonderful historic estate, just minutes away from the town of Capalbio and the beautiful sandy beaches of Maremma, Tuscany’s Southern coast. Featuring more than 3800 s.f. (350 s.m.) of inner living space as well as a magnificent private garden & pool, the villa represents a truly ideal retreat for a perfect Tuscan vacation.
The Maremma coastal region is a striking land that stretches between the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea and Tuscany’s rolling hills. Among its most exclusive locations is Capalbio, a perfectly kept medieval town listed at the top spot of the Guida Blu Legambiente (Italian Touring Club), a title awarded to the town for its tireless protection and careful management of its beaches, cultural heritage and environment.
Thanks to a mild climate, Capalbio and its surroundings offer a wide choice of activities that can be enjoyed not only during the summer, but throughout the year, from visiting ancient Tuscan villages and its castles, through tasting the traditional cuisine and wines, to enjoying the countryside.
The Villa & Garden.
The villa has been recently completely renovated by the owners to the highest standards, maintaining all its original features and charm.
The villa is placed inside of an important private garden that has been created by the owner (a renowned garden designer) throughout the last 30 years. The swimming pool has been meticulously designed so as to blend in the property’s wonderful garden, with an oval shape (size 15 x 8 meters, 50 x 26 ft.).
The cozy yet sophisticated and elegant atmosphere of the interiors, the pool together with the quietness of the area, make this property a truly unique place perfect to hide away and relax, just steps away from Capalbio and its surroundings.
Description of the Villa’s Interiors.
The villa spreads over 2 floors and features more than 350 square meters (3800 s. f) of living space, all with the characteristic high ceilings. A fast Wi-Fi Internet connection is available throughout the house and all bedrooms have air conditioning.
Open space ground floor:
- Entrance room with powder room;
- Open space Living and Dining Room with large fireplace, 2 sitting areas fully furnished with comfortable sofas and a large dining table (seating up to 12 persons). One of the sitting areas is equipped with modern “Home Theater” features (projector and screen, DVD player and surround sound system)
- Fully equipped live-in Kitchen directly connected to the dining room on one side and to a wonderful terrace with table and chairs perfect for breakfast or al fresco dining, on the other side.
- Second outdoor area (bamboo garden) directly connected to the kitchen that comes fully furnished with a wooden table and chairs as well.
- Paved patio a few steps down from the kitchen, fully furnished as an actual outdoor Living room
Elegantly designed staircase leads from the ground floor to the first floor of the villa (that features beautiful oak parquet throughout)
First floor:
- Large Living Room with open fireplace, comfortable sofa, library and a large desk (that can serve as an working space);
- Double Bedroom with 2 twin beds and attached bathroom (with shower stall);
- Double Bedroom with 2 twin beds and en-suite bathroom with shower (on demand, the twin beds can be joined to form a King size bed);
- Double bedroom with Queen bed and en-suite bathroom with shower;
- Master Bedroom with King bed, en-suite bathroom (tub-shower combo) and separate walk-in closet.
Location & Surroundings:
The villa is located about 6 km away from the town of Capalbio and just about 7 km away from the nearest beaches.
The nearest restaurant is within a short walk from the villa (just 700 meters), while the nearest local shops (including excellent grocery stores) are about 5 km away and the supermarket 7 km (in Capalbio).
The villa is ideally located among some of Italy’s most famous and beautiful destinations: Florence (180 km/110 miles), Pisa (200 km/124 miles) and Siena (140 km, 86 miles) to the North, Rome (120 km, 75 miles) and Civitavecchia to the South, the Chianti and Umbria to the East, while pristine sandy and rocky beaches stretch for 160 km on the West.
**“City Tax” of € 2 per person per night applicable for a maximum of 7 nights during is to be paid upon arrival as per the city's regulatory rules (kids under 12 are exempt).**

My family and I had been dreaming of our trip to Tuscany for a long time, and our dreams really came true while staying at this property! The villa has a beautiful garden surrounding the home and it is extremely peaceful.. the interiors are wonderfully decorated and feature unique art pieces hanging on the walls, that come directly from the owner’s private collection. We spent most of our time outdoors and in the water, either in the pool at the villa or at the beach nearby, which was very easy to access. There are many activities to do and places to see in the area, so I highly recommend asking the owner for her recommendations, she was more than willing to give us information to help us get the most out of our experience! The villa and the village of Capalbio are truly magical (with great dining options).. my family cannot wait for our next Italian vacation!

This villa far exceeded our expectations, it was cozy, quiet and immersed in the most beautiful landscape! The location is just perfect, close to the beach (which we reached on a bicycle each day), to Capalbio (a stunning medieval town) and to a few really great restaurants! We have thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the private pool and also dining outside on the terrace.. The host was super nice and helped us with many tips prior to arrival and during our stay. We will be back for sure, next time for a longer period!

The villa was everything we expected and more. Lovely property situated in a true Tuscan setting. The villa was Tuscan style, which is the experience we all had hoped for. Be sure to have the chief come in to cook dinner on site, it was wonderful, and she was great!

The weather was very hot and the house being dark inside meant it stayed reasonably cool. The bedrooms were great with aircon and mosquito nets. However the insects were bad this year but I don't think the owners of the house could be held responsible for that! The house had a beautiful swimming pool which had been very artistically designed and surrounded with attractive plants. It was a lovely place to be as there were great sun beds with a shady cover for the hottest hours in the day.
We v much enjoyed the cinema system and thought the villa could do with a few more English language films. it was fun watching them in the evenings.
The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans although some of the cutlery was a bit dated and the coffee machine (Nexpresso) probably needs to be replaced.
That said, it was a very stylish place to stay.
Everyone was helpful and we enjoyed our time very much.
