This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, play ground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).
Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.

The Bella Vista was a wonderful place to relax for the weekend. Nothing but silence and privacy at this home…
I wish I could add photos…Very well appointed kitchen - just bring food! The home was clean and bug-free. Beds were comfy. Take the advice of management and use their directions, not GPS to get there!
Our only big disappointment was the hot tub cover was waterlogged and could not be lifted off, resulting in not being able to use it. I would think this would have been noticed by the management prior to arrival if maintenance/cleaning was done, but the game room had plenty of activities to keep us entertained.
The email sent the week before arrival indicated that electronics, hot tub, etc. are furnished as a courtesy, but not guaranteed to function during the stay. I feel this should be noted in the VRBO listing. The hot tub was prominently noted in the listing, was a primary reason for choosing the rental, and at the nightly price, we felt that it being available should have been a higher priority. We were really hoping to enjoy it.
I would give a 4.5 star overall if I could, and just based on the location, would try this or another rental again if there was a reasonable assurance that all of the amenities were usable, or if there was some kind of issue known ahead of time, some kind of discount was offered. Everything else was superb and I can’t think of anything the house was missing. It was a great place to spend our birthday weekend!

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It is evident the owners have truly gone above & beyond to ensure their guests feel at home. We have rented other cabins and this was by far the best; the beds were cozy, ample towels & extra linens, extra fans in every room, spices, baggies, foil, detergent, paper towels, toilet tissue, trash bags, storage containers, the list is endless. Loved the amazing views and although the listing did not mention the property had a fire pit, it did have one that offered views for miles.
