Le Domaine des Fargues - Country estate with swimming pool

The villa is beautiful and has clearly been very lovingly restored by Marion and Jean-Phillippe. The beds were incredibly comfortable and both kitchens were well-stocked. They’ve given a lot of thought about everything you could possibly need and even gave us a bottle of rose on arrival. This was the first summer renting it out so there were a very few unfinished areas but I’m sure that will be this winter’s project! With such beautiful views, we spent the vast majority of our stay by the pool and outside kitchen. The infinity pool was amazing and has a fantastic paddling area which was brilliant for our one-year-old. There is a beautiful breeze pool-side too which is a massive relief after visiting the town markets in the valley. The only downside was that there are no steps into the pool (tricky for those feeling slightly less athletic after a big lunch!) and no shade for the sun-loungers although the outside kitchen has a wonderful shaded area to eat under. Despite the house being semi-detached, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We barely saw or heard the neighbours. We visited at the end of sunflower season but when the sunflowers are all out it must be even more beautiful as you are completely surrounded! Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.
