Enjoy 5 acres, a pond, a spacious 4600 square foot home AND A beautiful PARTY BARN (heated and air-conditioned) on property. Graceland also boasts an enormous kids play tower, fire pit, tetherball, a hammock, bocce ball, 2 giant Jengas, giant yard Yatzy, board games, a field for softball or whatever you want, Sonos speakers, 2 living rooms (one for kids), an office area with desk, printer, and monitor, and a large granite chef's kitchen with everything you may need for preparing/ serving/ entertaining/ hosting large groups including a commercial ice maker (we are NOT messing around!). This property is perfect for families to relax or play till they just can’t play anymore. There are deer that visit daily! The deer visit all day long and are fun to watch.
BONUS- I OWN AN UPSCALE APT COMPLEX 12 MINUTES AWAY. AT THE FOUR SEASONS APARTMENTS, YOU CAN USE THE INDOOR POOL in the winter, OUTDOOR POOL in the summer AND TWO-LEVEL CLUBHOUSE WITH GYM (home gyms, bikes, treadmill), SAUNA, ETC.. We stayed here as a family for a long weekend, 8 adults and 6 pre-teen/teenagers. We had a great time! We had ping pong & Jenga tournaments in the Party Barn and a firepit one night. The hot tub wasn’t working initially but the owner, Steve, responded promptly with a repair man who spent many hours working on it. Rained one day but we watched TV on the big sectional couch, did puzzles, played arcade games in the party room & video games on the basement TV. The teenagers thought initially the cement-floored basement was “creepy “ but by the time they settled in on the comfy couches, played the video games they brought with them on the TV, played a little ping ping on the table down there & claimed the beds with their own blankets, they made it their own cousins’ hangout space. With the 2 bunkbeds, Queen bed, & couch they could all sleep there ( or NOT sleep as the case might be!) and the adults were separated from the chaos with our own rooms with connecting bathrooms (except the one tacked on at the back of the house). It would have been nice to have a basement bathroom but the small 1/2 bathroom connected to the kitchen worked out ok, the kids just showered in the bathrooms connected to the adult bedrooms. It takes a lot to accommodate 14 people and this house worked great for us! Pond isn’t great but the kids loved trying (un-successfully) to catch frogs and we saw ducks and several deer. Although in the city, the property is large and secluded in wooded area.

This place is perfect for large gatherings! So much to do all ages! The game "garage" is excellent to host any sort of fun for hours/days. The location in West Des Moines was so close to shopping, restaurants, arcades, and bars just minutes away. I will not be surprised if my family decides to do another stay here!

Our family absolutely loved staying here. It was the perfect place to gather, relax, and make wonderful memories together. The owner was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely book this home again!
