About this house rental
this is a three bedroom house that sits behind a small country church. It is all on one floor. There is a ramp going into the house from the back. the house was totally renovated in 2020. the kitchen is brand new. the original bathroom was gutted and remodeled and another bathroom was added. The house has one bedroom with a king bed, one bedroom with queen bed and one bedroom with full bed. There is a large living room and dining room and a beautiful front porch where you can watch the deer in the evenings. The house has a lovely gas fireplace for wintertime enjoyment. We have update the internet with Starlink that will allow you all the speed you need to upload and download. While there is no cell phone service here, there is a land line and you can use your cell phones through the internet. You are a mile from South Mill Creek Lake with great trout, bass, catfish,crappie and bluegill fishing. you are minutes from all the local trout fishing rivers and streams that are stocked from October to May. You can kayak on the lake if you like. you are 10 minutes from Reeds Creek and Smoke Hole to Rock Climb and 45 minutes to Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods and Spruce Knob. Travel a bit further and you can spend sometime at Blackwater falls.

We've stayed at Mammies Place several times for a regular climbing trip to Reed's Creek and Smoke Hole. It's a fantastic location for access to climbing and Franklin. In addition, the quiet setting can be enjoyed from the cozy front porch. Mammies Place is clean, well-appointed and very comfortable. Danita is a wonderful host.

Mammies Place is clean, well appointed, close to Franklin and close to climbing at Reed’s Creek and Smoke Hole. The large front porch is the perfect place to relax in this very quiet location. Danita is a wonderful host.

This was our fourth time staying at Mammies Place for a climbing trip to Reed's Creek/Smoke Hole and, as always, it was stellar. It's a welcoming, quiet location with a well appointed and clean home.
