Niboban Cabin #5 - Blubeary Cabin is a charming and cozy retreat located right on the shores of Rangeley Lake in Rangeley, Maine. This delightful cabin features a screened porch perfect for enjoying the lake breeze, a fire pit for evening gatherings, and a hammock for relaxing in the serene surroundings. With WiFi to keep you connected and a dock for easy lake access, Blubeary Cabin is the perfect blend of comfort and nature for a peaceful getaway.
This cabin is located at historical Niboban. The original Niboban Camp was built sometime prior to 1915 and was at one time used as a farm. In the 1920s, it was once a girls camp. In the early 2000s, the original buildings at Niboban were torn down and new cabins and a lodge were built. Guests have access to the main lodge which offers ping pong, games, books, puzzles, and movies on DVD with a TV and DVD player.
There is a shared swimming cove and a swim float, with one of the few sandy beaches on Rangeley Lake. Rangeley Village and downtown Oquossoc are just 7 miles away in opposite directions. Niboban has a connector trail to ITS84, so guests may enjoy snowmobiling directly from their cabins - to nearly 150 miles of groomed trails, with connections to New Hampshire and Canada. Cross Country Skiing and mountain bike trails are available nearby at the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center. There are public tennis courts in both downtown Rangeley and downtown Oquossoc. Close to Saddleback Mountain!

This property includes access to the shared amenities for all Niboban Cabins, including a beach waterfront, docks for swimming, fire pits, a swim float, and the main clubhouse. Please note: Niboban #5 has a private mooring, and boats may not be left on the docks overnight. You are welcome to use the docks for loading and unloading.

We just returned from a short trip to Rangeley from York Co. Rangeley is our “home away from home,” and Morton and Furbish are our “go to” rental agency every time! As always, Bluebeary was immaculate when we arrived (as all their rentals are) and we had plenty of updated local recommendations to continue learning about all that the area and beyond has to offer!
Bluebeary is a very comfortable and well- equipped cabin. The primary bedroom has a fantastic mattress, and a spot to put in a kayak or canoe is right next to the cabin. The shared dock and fire pit are also directly below the cabin, and you can't beat the view! Small beach access is just steps away for those with little ones. Easy to get to towns of Rangely and Oquossoc from Niboban as well. Highly recommended this spot, even though construction is underway as Niboban expands. We miss the lake already!
