The location is excellent. Right on the beach. There is no other public access or other house behind it that has access directly in front. There's only one house behind the row of houses that is in this area. In the middle of June, the beach is not crowded at all because of this. The house is nice. It's been redone recently with new carpet, bathroom, and paint. However, curiously they made some choices not to do some relatively cheap cosmetic fixes like replacing the 1970s era bathroom fixtures, replacing rusting air vents, and replacing faded and old looking light switch covers. Overall house is clean and well kept.Our main issue with our stay was with SunCoast. While we were on the island, a large storm came through that knocked out the water pressure to the island for several hours. After the water pressure went down, a boil water advisory was set for the entire island. We had no communication about this from SunCoast. The only way we found out about this was through a St. George Island Facebook group and from family members that were staying with a Collins rental. Collins informed our family members right away and also checked in on the guests to make sure there was no damage from the 60 mph winds that came through with the storm. SunCoast did not have the safety of their guests in mind and never heard from them the entire time.
