About this apartment rental
Lots of room for you to stretch out and enjoy the great location in East Lakeview. Nearby to public transportation including bus stop 1 block, Lakeshore Drive 3 blocks, Red, Brown & Purple line train station 5 blocks. Lake front and beach is only 3 blocks away. There are restaurants, bars, theater and entertainment just 1 block away.
Near Chicago's famous Boystown. You're just a few blocks away from one the country's top rated gay areas.
The building was constructed in 1893 by a banker as a private mansion for his family. The ceilings are high and vaulted and the ambiance of the whole place feels warm with old world charm. We're on the 2nd floor and there's no elevator; so expect to walk up a few flights of stairs.
You'll notice right away that the place is HUGE. 2,300 square feet with a gigantic living room, including a bar with refrigerator, TV and bar stools, city views; perfect for pre-gaming or socializing among your group.
The kitchen has an island to work on or just gather around and talk. All pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, cups, glasses are provided. It also has a Mr. Coffee maker with filters and complementary coffee, sugar and creamer. There is a microwave, stove, oven and bagel toaster too.
There is large dining room with a table that can easily fit 10 guests located just off the kitchen. Almost complete surrounded by windows and southern exposure; the dining room is the perfect breakfast nook to catch the early morning sunlight.
There are 2 private bedrooms with big comfy King Sized beds. Two other bedrooms have 2 Queen Sized bed in each room. There are TV's in 3 of the bedrooms with streaming content. We provide YouTube TV and you can use your phone apps to broadcast your favorite shows via Chromecast.
In the living room, there are 3 futon couches. These futons fold into full sized beds by just lifting the seats up. Futon pillows and linens are stored in the small closet near the front bedroom. The door is marked with "Futon Linens".
All linens, pillows, towels are provided, so all you need to do is show up.
In unit washer and dryer too
Electronic locks on the doors makes check-in easy. I'll send you a custom code that will be active during your stay. This code works on the main entry door and the front and back apartment doors.
Free parking in the garage that faces south for 2 cars. Use your electronic door code on the keypad on the side of the garage door.

My husband, our kids, and their spouses came in for a family wedding. It was spacious, yet cozy. It was beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you might need. It was close to lots of restaurants and grocery. The owner was responsive to all questions. I can't say enough good things about this home. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

What a wonderful, beautiful place to stay in Chicago - near the lake, fantastic Lakeview neighborhood, easy on/off Lake Shore Drive to get downtown and to museums, stadium, etc - all super fast. Huge place with lots of bedrooms, couches, futons, hangout spaces, full kitchen/dining room, 2 bathrooms. We had a ball enjoying as much of Chicago as we could take in during our stay here - plus great times just being together at "home." Plus, TWO in-garage parking spaces was crazy fantastic in the city! Thank you :)
