We were warmly welcomed. There were even a few local specialties on our arrival. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen well equipped to be self-sufficient. The beach is only a short walk away. The beach is a very nice clean sandy beach with turquoise water. We could bathe here at the end of September at 29 degrees still very good. The shower outside was also very pleasant and the beach umbrella was great. We are happy to come back.

This was our 3rd trip to Sardinia and our 2nd to Portoscuso because we liked it there so much last year! Everything in terms of booking the apartment worked well and Filippo was easy to communicate with. The apartment was very clean and extremely well equiped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. It was very comfortable, the rooms being pleasantly much larger than the impression we had from photos online. Lilliana gave us a very warm welcome and she and her family were very warm and helpful (It was fun bumping into her a few times in the local supermarket - which is conveniently nearby) On arrival there were lots of very delicious Sardinian specialities awaiting us which we very much enjoyed - this was a very nice touch from the owners. (Sardinian bread, 'cookies', sausage, cheese and wine ) Whilst there is not much of a view from the balcony it really didn't matter as you can walk to the beach and the lovely coastal pathway in a matter of just a few minutes. We very much enjoyed staying in this quiet street of an authentic Sardinian neighbourhood rather than in a tourist resort. There are plenty of places to go for a drink or a good meal within walking distance in the town which is very pretty by the harbour. Don't miss the ice-cream parlour which has the best gelato we have ever tasted! We have found Portoscuso to be a great base to explore the SW which has many beautiful beaches and a very interesting history and heritage. This visit we also drove further NE in the mountains where we discovered more of the heritage and tradition of this beautiful county. We would highly recommend this apartment and we hope to come back next year!
