cozy Ski Lodge directly on the slopes of Kronplatz

Edel and Hugo are great hosts. They are very communicative and when the main road to our chalet was closed one night due to flooding, Hugo found a back way and guided us up to our chalet. They renovated an old mountain house and preserved all the old Tirolean charm while adding beautiful modern bathrooms and kitchen. The sauna area is worthy of a top salon. The mountain top views from the chalet are wonderful. The chalet is more than halfway up the Kronplatz and is reached by a steep, winding road. This wasn't a problem for us, but some people may be bothered by that. It's an ideal location for a ski in, ski out holiday. I suspect we'll be back!

We were privileged to stay in this beautiful chalet in mid-December for a family ski holiday. Everything is as advertised, if not better, and we were VERY PLEASED. Edel and Hugo are very easy to work with and terrific hosts. We were initially worried that the snow wouldn't be okay in mid-December having not had any in Bavaria where we live, but we were pleasantly surprised. The chalet is high enough on the mountain that there was more than enough and the Kronplatz stays very busy making snow to ensure that the skiing is great, even if the weather doesn't cooperate. The chalet is furnished nicely and very comfortable for adults and children. It has everything you need to prepare your own meals and there are restuarant options 10meters away and multiple other mountain huts about 100-200 meters away. We couldn't have been happier and hope to return!
