About this house rental

Beautiful Norman house on 1,100 m² of land, in a very quiet setting, with a garden and terrace, located 500 meters from a large, beautiful forest (Forêt de Balleroy).
Close to the D-Day landing beaches (35 km) and the American cemetery, the Bayeux Tapestry (26 km), Mont Saint-Michel (95 km), and Granville and the Chausey Islands (75 km), as well as Jersey and Guernsey, where Victor Hugo lived during his exile.

Lovely old house deep in the Normandy countryside. The hosts gave us a warm welcome. Lovely front garden, which was great for playing with our dog, as it's difficult to access the countryside around for dog walks as it's mostly farmland. If you plan to arrive on a Sunday, as we did, make sure you have initial provisions (food and drink at least) as there are no shops open on a Sunday, nor are there nearby restaurants open on a Sunday evening, so go prepared! Very peaceful location if you want to get away from it all. We were also blessed with fine warm weather for visiting the D Day beaches, which are a bit of a drive away, but well worth visiting if you're interested in the events that took place there. We had a very enjoyable stay.

We spend a lovely holiday in a great environment. Despite our basic knowledge of French the communication worked very well. Our landlords gave us a wonderful welcome. We will definitely go there again.

The house in Berigny was not the usual gite— it is a real home that Viviane and Yves Marie were kind enough to leave for us. It has everything and more that you might want. We highly recommend it.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very cosy and just as we imagined it. The ambience of the cottage reflected that it was our host's own home, rather than just a property they were renting out. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly.
