Simona, the host, is a nice, friendly, always helpfull person. If you need something or get any tips where to go or where to eat, she will always help, suggest something or find a solution.It was a lovely stay for us, because we wanted a quiet place, not in the city. But you are close to a lot of cities and to the beach, the region is awsome. We were lucky to experience the sagra della zuppa during our stay, very unique - we had special food and a nice party at night ;)we really enjoyed our stay!

What a unique apartment! We loved everything. The host Simone was wonderful. The private garden was a gem. Short drive to Lucca, Pisa. One little thing we have to mention is: drive a small car. The way up to the apartment is very narrow.

Happy to recommend Simona's property. An excellent location as a base to visit the surrounding area and beyond...and just to walk out of the door and enjoy walks in the immediate locality. A very comfortable apartment to return to and spend time in... it's a great location in Aquilea. Supermarket close by... and a ' negozio alimentari' and bar in Aquilea ( unfortunately the owners went on holiday the day I arrived, so cannot comment further ). Simona is very helpful re local information and potential sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time at Simona's house. The little village is remote and idyllic, and the landscape is breathtaking. Simona was an attentive host, giving us useful advice for getting along. We had a very good time together.

Had a great week here, it's a bit "up a hill", but it's a very nice village, and not far from a very decent supermarket, and there is a very local shop also. The host was very helpful and nice.

The property was clean and spacious. Simone was very accomodating and helpful allowing for a late check-in and check out. She was also kind enough to order our Friday night pizza for us, which was delicious.

First of all, Simona is a super professional and a great person. The village is very cute and everybody that you cross on the street is very friendly. Very soon you feel as part of the community. Don't miss the Friday pizza, 50 meters from the house. You need to go there and order a few hours in advance. The stone house has been restored with a lot of taste and comfort. I loved to sleep looking at the wood beam ceiling! The white stone kitchen sink is a special touch. The house has all the basics you need. The private garden is very charming and has a original stone and brick chicken coop, now turned into a shed. The table and chairs are super comfortable to read or to have the meals. In the back there is a BBC. Aquilea is a few kilometers from a excelent supermarket, a laundry, and from Luca, a beautiful historic town. My recommendation is to drive slow and blow the horn on the curves on the way to the village, about 2 km. Otherwise, no big deal. I love Simona's house and we wish we would've stayed there more days.

A beautiful apartment and welcoming host. We hired bikes - but most people would certainly need a car. It is in a stunning location with typical local bar/shop close by. A perfect destination.

Well positioned for what we wanted to see during the week we were there. We did Cinque Terre, Pisa and Florence and could reach each one easily by car or by train. The apartment was simple yet met our needs. We have a tendency to eat in so we used the kitchen often and found most of the items we needed to cook with. Bed and furniture were comfortable. The internet worked well for everyday browsing and surfing. We did not try and stream anything so can't answer about that. TV worked well and we were able to find some reruns in English. Friday night town pizza was fun . . . a young couple makes pizzas for the community of Aguilea and charges a minimal amount for them. They were cooked in a wood fired oven and were excellent. If you're in to hiking there are plenty right out the door in the country side. Our stay with Simona was a pleasant one.

We stayed 4 days in august in the flat of Simona and had a really nice time in there. The house is situated close to Lucca up on the mountains in a small village with a nice view of the coastside. Simona welcomed us with fruits of her garden so we got started well.
