Location and coziness of the cottage were 5 star!! Very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of firewood and kindling. Comfy bed and plenty of blankets for chilly December nights. LOVED hearing the waves breaking right at the foot of the cottage. I'll definitely stay again!
Fireplace didn't vent well, and never used the stove fan, so that wasn't it. Rom didn't get viably smokey, but definarely smelled smokey. Chimney may need a cleaning? And my stay was during cold weather (low in the high 30s at night). The heater in the living area couldn't get the room above 64F according to my instant read thermometer (I'm a chef: have thermometer, will travel...hahaha). I believe it's because the unit in placed high in the vaulted ceiling. Heat rises. I'm sure the rafters were cozy. LOL. Would never be an issue in summer.
