Quaint little apartment in an ideal location. All amenities needed were available at the property.

Quite a steep staircase to climb for anyone with mobility issues. I didn’t mind but just to bare in mind

The location is fantastic! We are all film professionals in Cannes for the festival; the 15-minute walk was very convenient. We used both the pull-out sofa bed and the extra cot. Both were very comfortable. We had some minor issues with the apartment, things not supplied etc, the owner had a friend close by who came and supplied what was needed. The apartment was plenty big enough for us, and we prepared some simple meals in the tiny kitchen. The view out the window is gorgeous, a great deal for the cost.

The apartment itself is up a set of stairs. Just inside the building, there is a very steep set of stairs, about 35 steps. These were not mentioned in the description of the apartment. They were difficult to navigate and exhausting after a long day. Inside the apartment, there was nowhere to hang clothing. There was a broken clothes drying rack that we used to hang our clothes. We did our best to repair the rack with tape. Our entire stay, we thought the front door did not lock. We were mistaken, there was a process to lock the door that we were not shown upon arrival.

The host, Esteban, was very kind and helpful. Due to a nighttime accident, I dropped and broke a small decorative vase that was placed on the bedside table, and he did not ask for any compensation. That was very thoughtful of him. He was also accommodating and flexible regarding both check-in (which was originally scheduled for 4 PM, practically meaning losing an entire day) and check-out. The apartment is centrally located and overall close to everything one might need. The apartment itself is very charming, although it does have a few flaws, which I explain in the section dedicated to areas for improvement.

The apartment is located on the top floor of a building with extremely steep stairs. I was not expecting that kind of situation upon arrival with a suitcase. The staircase also does not light up immediately, as the lighting system is automatic. Overall, that was a bit difficult to manage and somewhat unsafe. The apartment is nice and spacious, but it has neither drawers nor wardrobes, nor even a clothing rack. This meant I had to hang all my clothes and outfit changes on the handles of the furniture, which was quite inconvenient. Everything was clean except for a small issue with the bed sheets: although they were clean and freshly changed, the sofa cushions had been placed on top of them, which resulted in dust and hair ending up on the clean bed. Esteban was very kind and understanding when I pointed this out. The bathroom door handle was broken (the inside and outside parts kept coming apart), so one day I briefly got locked inside the bathroom. Fortunately, I managed to solve the situation myself afterward.
