Penelope's Blue Sea Front Residenses

The room was spacious, very clean and quiet, with a lovely view. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The location was also excellent, close to the sea and local taverns. It is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday and reminded me of the genuine Greek hospitality that has sadly been lost in many places due to mass tourism. It was also very important to me that pets were welcome. The owners were also very discreet and respectful of our privacy, giving us the space and freedom to truly enjoy our stay.

The swimming pool was a little on the small side. Also, although this is obviously not the hotel's responsibility, the sea was not particularly nice during the days of our stay.

Everything was nice! We were there for a whole week. The reception staff was super friendly and accommodative to all our needs. We had fresh towels and sheets every two days, as well as our house cleaned. We could even have that every day! The beach is 5 minutes away on foot and mostly private! Also, the cleanest beach we’ve been on the island so far. The house was nice too and the cleaning staff was Extremely good and polite! They would even take care of our chihuahua’s little bed:) We would definitely recommend Penelope’s AND their restaurants, which are situated at the village nearby (5min away on foot too!) especially the Italian one, which was by far the best pasta and cocktails we’ve had this summer. We spent a wonderful week at Penelope's, the location was perfect, with amazing views from our balcony overlooking the pebbled beach, which was only 2 minutes of steep downhill walking. The village is small and quaint, far from the bustle of a bigger town (which is still conveniently 10minutes away by car), with everything (town-beach, tavernas and a small market) within a few hundred meters walking distance, exactly what we had hoped for. The apartment was small (better suited for eating out than dining in), but tidy, with very nice cleaning ladies changing sheets and towels every two days. Separate air conditioning on both levels (ground floor living room and upstairs bedroom) was a welcome surprise.

Downstairs (living room) gets a bit crowded when arriving with more luggage, the kitchen is minimally equipped (but you can have your breakfast on the balcony) and expandable couch is better suited for smaller kids (ours are quite tall :) )
