WE LIKED THE LOCATION AND SIZE OF THE HOUSE.
THE HOUSE WASN'T EQUIPPED VERY WELL. NEEDS MORE DISHES TO COOK WITH. VERY LIMITED. IT WOULD BE GOOD IF THERE WAS SOAP AND SHAMPOO AVAILABLE. WE FELT WE NEEDED TO PURCHASE A LOT OF GROCERIES AS THERE WAS NO CONDIMENTS IN THE HOUSE. AS I STAY IN A LOT OF BOOKING.COM PROPERTIES THEY USUALLY HAVE SOME CONDIMENTS AND SHAMPOO/SOAP IN SHOWERS AS STANDARD.

Jack Adamson Retreat is a spacious, comfortable accommodation which was clean and well-decorated. There was a full kitchen and 2 lovely bathrooms. I would recommend this for a family of 4-6.
A few small additions would make this house a 10/10 such as bedside lamps and a coffee machine. Other than that, it was lovely!

Big newish house in Twizel, big rooms, fully equipped kitchen and washing machine/ dryer. House key in a lock box, easy access on arrival.
Even though kitchen was fully equipped, only the very basic cutlery and dishes, cheap plastic kettle etc - didn’t fit the description of Jack Adamson „Retreat“ at all.
No attention to detail (no toiletries e.g. shower gel, shampoo in the bathrooms), no personal touch or decorations in this big house (no bedside lights, flower stands as basic bedside tables?)- the big house felt empty, cold, like just moving in. Not cosy at all.
Nice fireplace but no firewood to be found.
Unfortunately lots of room for improvement, such a big house has such good potential.
