First of all, I have to say that Leda Hamam House is truly a historical treasure. If I understood correctly, the house was built in the 1700s. The interior has been carefully restored to stay as close to the original as possible.
Still, everything has been thoughtfully arranged to make sure guests have a comfortable stay. Every room and hallway has air conditioning, and the AC system runs on a separate power line, which is a smart and well-planned detail for safety. The three-story house has two showers and a hamam. The kitchen — including the oven, stove, fridge, and dishwasher — is fully equipped and ready to use.
The house is located right in the center of town. Cafés, tavernas, and shops are all just a short walk away. There are four different beaches within walking distance. You can also get to Isodoros — the town’s most popular beach — with a bit of a longer walk or a short taxi ride for around 7 euros. The town itself, and its people, are simply wonderful.
We enjoyed our time in the house so much that, if it weren’t for the sound of the church bells, we would have completely lost track of time.
Many of the items in the house are original. But they’re not meant for daily use. Our request to everyone staying after us is this: please take good care of the house and treat everything — especially the things not made for everyday use — with the respect they deserve. That said, everything you might need — and maybe more — has been carefully prepared in the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and the hamam.
We would also like to give a special thanks to the hosts and to Nikoleta, who took care of us during our stay. None of our questions went unanswered, and every need was met right away.
We truly feel lucky to have had the chance to stay in such a gem as Leda Hamam House.
