Hotel White Heaven

Great value for money for backpacking. The staff were eager yo please. The balcony offered a great view.

The placement of the shower meant that the whole of the bathroom floor was left wet so access to the toilet generated wet feet.

What I liked most about the hotel was the genuine, very helpful and kindly manager. Although he didn’t speak much English, I managed to communicate my needs and had good food at the times I requested and helpful service with arranging a tuk tuk back to start the next stage of the Pekoe Trail. The room was clean, bed comfortable, hot shower, and the view from the room was very pleasant. And very good value.

The room was very clean, seemed to be renovated short time ago, water heater in the room, hot water at shower, balcony with nice view and friendly employees! The dinner and breakfast was very taste and too much for one person. :) I can fully recommend the location.

A bit far away from town center, but me as hiker not a problem actually.

It is probably one of the few available places to stay before stage 19 of the Pekoe Trail at Attampitiya. I didn’t see the owner but could reach the owner via text/whatsapp. They have a staff on site who is very nice and friendly, even though he couldn’t speak much english. Room is decent and spacious. Remember to ask the owner how to turn on hot shower.

The location is by the road, but it’s around 2km away from Attampitiya town so have to get there either by walking along the road or by tuktuk. Might have insects flying in, especially at night so just have to bear with it as it seems to be the case for many budget accommodations.
