Very clean and comfortable

Very close to the town centre which was ideal for my stay attending the Topps RIP Event at Tradewiicards in Loughborough
No eating in the room which I found odd as everyone likes to have a snack in their room

Good location and parking.
They don’t know how to clean.
Take your own shower gel & shampoo.

Thai massage was excellent.
We were apparently upgraded. The room was freezing on arrival. The restaurant was closed for the whole duration. There was only one towel in the room. There was no milk pots for tea and coffee. On first entry to the hotel is smelled a bit like an old people’s home but that could have been the massage oils they use. Breakfast was meant to be continental. The breakfast was literally a choice of toast. Bananas, apples, oranges. Cereal boxes. Jam. Butter. Tea and coffee. No cheese, ham or even fresh juice. It was just squash and water. No decaffeinated alternatives.

The place is rundown and needs a serious refresh.

The price for the stay was not reasonable considering. Bath stated on original booking. No bath in room. Mis sold.

My heating wasn’t working - and the staff members/owner had tried to find immediate solutions - and was keen to assist and keep me happy.

The wi fi and TV.
At £243 for three nights in November I expected more than a very small sterile and poorly equipped room. The en-suite was miniscule. They need better communication on what is available and when. In the room is a sign saying what you can't do and how much you will be fined if you break these rules, how about another one telling you about meal times etc?

Clean simple room, good location and value for money
Staff friendly but not very welcoming, strange rule of not being allowed to eat food in your room and walls very thin (I was on the phone in my room and was told to be quiet by another guest)

The location is quite good. Close-ish to Loughborough town centre.
There were intimidating messages absolutely everywhere. At the entrance: Photo ID MUST be provided. Police aware - no drugs. Inside there are notices saying: No smoking and vaping (but who smokes in hotels?)
On my bedroom door, you won't believe this: Do not eat in this room - £500 fine if you eat in your room. (!)
Are they serious?
The whole experience was unnecessarily intimidating. I had a basic single room - I accept that. But there was no chair. It was ok, but was otherwise acceptable. But all night I was wondering if I could be thrown out onto the street for eating a sandwich.

The hotel is on a main road, well signposted so easy to find & traffic noise was minimal at night. There was free parking to the front and rear of the hotel. On arrival, I was upgraded, for which I was very grateful, to Room 8 which had an ensuite. The rooms (common areas & guest rooms) were exceptionally clean. The bedroom was serviced each day. The bed & duvet were comfortable but I always travel with my own pillow & was glad as the room pillows supplied were a little too firm for me. The en suite was clean but of an age. The flow of water from the shower was disappointing & I was glad that I hadn't planned to wash my hair. 2 Towels and a small soap are provided but no shampoo or shower gel. There is no hairdryer. (All this information is given in the booking information.) The en suite had a window ledge & a lower shelf on which to place toiletries, a mirror & a separate light over the mirror to avoid starting the fan for a night time loo trip. The room had all that was needed. A wall mounted TV, kettle/cups/coffee & tea supplied as well as a basic small hanging wardrobe with one shelf. There was one chair. The space around the bed was limited but workable. The internet was easy to access and had a reliable signal. There is a restaurant and spa treatment rooms on site. Had I had time, I would have been tempted to try both. I would rebook when in Loughborough visiting friends.
One inconvenience was that there was no bedside light so I had to get out of bed to switch off the main light. Another slight oddity was that guests are only given their room key. The main hotel door was closed at 10pm & 'latecomers' needed to ring a number to gain access.

Nothing
Nasty decor with no style or consistency Lots of mess (towels, bedding, bags etc) everywhere in the entrance area & the corridors
No electrical socket available in the room
Only one tiny soap in the bathroom
Terrible shower with either scalding hot or freezing cold water & poor drainage
A very aggressive big sign on my room door warned that “no food can be consumed in the room & a £500 will be applied to anyone that does so! (what an absolutely bizarre thing to do…?)
Had a massage & the room was freezing. Asked the masseur to warm the room & she tried but the heat/air conditioning didn’t work (she apologised for this but…)
Nobody @ the desk or in the reception area when I left in the morning

Clean and comfy bed and friendly staff.
There was a definite language barrier which led to confusion on meals ordered and lacking facilities. The room (described as deluxe double with a large double bed) was tiny with a small double bed. No room for more than one bedside cabinet or a dressing table so nowhere to put anything. The sink taps were cold only (room 10) and our friends in room 9 only had one towel and a shower that didn't work. No hairdryer either. Maybe we could have got these things sorted whilst there but conversations were really not easy due to the language issue. Shame as we'd had a lovely stay here a year earlier and it looks as though efforts are being made to improve the place.

A quirky hotel, with a strange colour scheme, but well worth the fee we paid. excellent value for money. Clean tidy and comfortable. The staff were attentive, and welcoming and the environment was relaxed. We will stay here again, highly recommended. I have paid a lot more money and had worse stays.

Location was great. Nice to be able to have Thai dinner in the evening.
With new management, I wonder if some aspects still need to be ironed out.

Great location. It's good they provided breakfast. The food at the restaurant was amazing. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place.
Could have more options for breakfast, but not a big deal really.

There was a bed, clean towels.
The company was wonderful (not provided by the hotel)
Missing smoke alarm & wires dangling from the ceiling.
Bad quality shower, low pressure, didn't stay hot, swinging between ice cold and scorching.
Staff barely attended to us at all, almost non existent.
No cooked breakfast at all, just a few meagre cereals left on the side.
They also try to bribe us for 5 star review by offering £5 off, which is very manipulative.
Noisy area, thin walls.

Booked a deluxe double room, we certainly didn't get deluxe the room was tiny only just fitting in a double bed,and a chair there was a what I can only describe as a old clothes stand to which one of its poles was snapped and the whole thing was wobbly. there was paint on the chair, the room was advertised with a private bathroom, there was no toilet only a very small shower and a sink. when I complained to the manager he's response was a bathroom doesn't have to have a toilet and his attitude was awful .You could hardly move in the room. what a complete joke
we didn't like the whole room it certainly was not as it was described on booking.com, a DELUXE double room it certainly was not.

Staff couldn't understand anything we were saying. They wanted to charge us more for a room with a toilet, which we had already booked. The room was in the attic with no windows and no bathroom, the bathroom they told us to use was at the bottom floor and it was a disabled toilet.

I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst working nearby. The bed was comfortable, the hotel was clean, quiet and peaceful and had a really relaxing experience. I ate in the restaurant on both evenings and the food was authentic Thai 🇹🇭 and very delicious, the portions were generous and very nice and not expensive at all. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, cannot recommend highly enough 🙏. Would definitely stay again.

Staff very friendly.
Room was quiet and clean (nice bedding).
The breakfast was fair - everything available as promised.
We had dinner in the hotel the night before, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the chef. Good value for money and a very pleasant atmosphere.
1. The hotel linen lying around on the floor at the bottom of the stairs wasn't a good look.
2. The scaffolding around the building and in the car park.
3. Building was rather scruffy but we understand that they're renovating.
