Delightful 4 bedroom family home in Newington - Craigmillar Park

距離市中心公車15分鐘，有4線公車可以到市中心、購物中心與湖邊。位置真的很棒！ 挑高的屋頂、寬廣的客廳、舒適的房間與設備齊全的廚房。七夜的住宿讓家人覺得溫馨便利。

1.廚房的鍋子大部分都已有瑕疵，只有兩個還可以使用。如果管理者願意更換，讓這趟愛丁堡的旅程可以自炊，更便利。 2.餐具數量不足8人使用，但因為此行只有6人，可以拿替代品。對餐具講究的人可能會覺得不滿意。 3.主臥室的浴室手龍頭分冷熱水兩個，溫度不好控制。另外兩個浴室應該裝修過，可惜其中之一在居住期間管線脫落，雖然管理人員反應迅速，可惜只能使用別間浴室。 4.電鈴在客廳，房間隔音效果很好，所以在臥室時聽不到。

The location was good. On a busy main road but set back behind high hedge. Ground floor apartment so good access and it had off street parking. Beds comfortable as were the large sofas.

The noise from upstairs which shook the lounge light fitting! The boiler had to be repressurised to give us hot water (just as well that one of the party was an engineer). The place is a bit tired (paintwork) and there needs to be some Pyrex bowls (ovenproof) a potato masher or ricer added. The pans used for frying are chipped and scratched, which means phalates can escape into food! These need immediate replacement and the same for the plastic chopping boards!

Location was great and plenty of parking. Spacious home.

The home has great potential and lovely Edinburgh charm, but it’s in need of some care and maintenance. There were ongoing issues with the boiler, meaning no hot water or heating at times, including on the morning of checkout when we had early flights. The host was kind and extended checkout so we could resolve it, but it’s clear from other reviews that this is a recurring issue. One of the bedrooms had no working radiator (just a small plug-in heater), and clearer instructions on the wooden shutters would help, as there are no curtains and we didn’t realise for the first two nights. The kitchen isn’t fully equipped for eight guests, and the overall cleanliness needs attention — deeper cleans are needed, as the oven and extractor fans were quite dirty and dust had built up over time (even falling from one of the bathroom vents). Some of the furniture, such as kitchen chairs and pans, also need replacing. With some TLC and a bit of investment, this could be a really lovely place to stay.
