Apartment Villa Magna by Interhome

The bedrooms were a really good size and had plenty of wardrobe space. The only exception was one bedroom where one of the cupboards is used to store the cleaning equipment, so there is slightly less storage in that room. The towels were also a really nice quality and a good size. Each person had a large bath towel as well as a smaller towel. There are plenty of electrical sockets throughout the apartment, and quite a few also have built-in USB-A and USB-C charging sockets, which was a really useful touch when travelling with lots of phones and other devices. There were also plenty of dishes, glasses and cutlery, so we never felt short of anything when eating in. We also found Interhome very quick to respond when we had an issue with the Wi-Fi, and they dealt with it promptly. The Wi-Fi is working, although it is quite slow, so this could definitely be improved. Overall, we were really impressed with the apartment. It is spacious, comfortable, quiet and well equipped, with fantastic views.

The pool area is open from 10am to 8pm, which we felt was quite a late opening time, especially when you want to make the most of the morning. On the positive side, we always managed to find sun loungers, so there was never an issue getting a place to sit. You need a swim card to access the pool area, and there is a €5 deposit per card. We weren't made aware of this by the apartment beforehand, so we had to find this out ourselves. You need to give reception your apartment and room number when getting the card, and the €5 deposit is returned when you hand the card back at the end of your stay. It would have been helpful if this information had been provided before or on arrival. The pool water was very cold, even in August, so we didn't tend to stay in the water for very long. This was a shame because slightly warmer water would have made the pool much more enjoyable and we would have used it more. There are no locks on any of the bedroom doors, which would have been a useful addition, particularly when staying in the apartment as a larger group. Another thing to be aware of is that you are expected to do a basic clean before leaving the apartment. This wasn't something that was made clear before booking and was only communicated after the booking had been made. It would be better if this was clearly stated in the booking information so guests know what is expected in advance. As the apartment is in one of 5 blocks within a large complex, it could sometimes be confusing for taxis. We had a couple of occasions where taxi drivers found it difficult to work out exactly where to pick us up or drop us off at the main entrance. Overall, these were relatively minor issues, but having clearer information about the swim cards and cleaning requirements before arrival would have made things easier.
