Price and location

Two towels not enough. If one is dropped in the bathroom…. The gate at the head of the alley was locked. Guard asleep. Had to carry my luggage to the taxi at 0345. The assured me in previous stay that the gate was open 24x7

Location

Excellent location, close to all the restaurants, markets and night markets. The property is very new and in pristine condition. Spacious, good WiFi, shower and basic kitchen.

Our check-in was not great, which is why we give it a lower than expected rating, along with some other minor matters. The procedure is the key is left in the door and you check in yourself. However, someone else checked into our room, leaving us outside and no one at reception. Frustrating, but not entirely the owners fault. Also, the bedroom could do with some paintings or pictures, 4 bare walls made it rather sterile. A set of forks and knives would be appreciated instead of just chopsticks. The decal (frosted glass effect) on the windows made it feel like we were living in a bathroom 24/7. I think clear glass and making use of the curtains would be better and giving "normal" light. Note that as it's an apartment and not a hotel, it's not cleaned regularly. Finally, the bed cover was REALLY inadequate in terms of size. Way too small to cover two people at night. Strongly suggest larger covers or a large but thin quilt for a better sleep. Apart from these teething matters, an enjoyable and affordable stay.
