Castello Farnese, Roma, sulla Via Francigena

If it was possible I would give Castello Farnese and Claudio an 11. If you get the chance to go and stay there, take it, it is fantastic. It is close to the Via Francigena and so much more beautiful than La Storta. Claudio is a very hospitable host, he introduced us to his donkey and horse and showed us around his wonderful home.and property. Breakfast was extra but well worth it with the stunning.library as the location. The Castello is full of history and the views both from it and of it are superb. It made our second last day on the VF very memorable. Yoga classes are available too.

The room was in a lovely quiet location about 2km from the town; and we walked to a really special nearby restaurant (Antico Mulino a Vejo) and had a lovely evening there

I hadn't realised it was a room in someone's house - I thought this was one room of several/many in a hotel-type property. The building was ancient and charming. It was not clear at all which door led to the accommodation.

Tutto perfetto. Proprietario disponibile e cortese. Frutta e acqua fresca in camera molto apprezzate.

Nulla. Unica pecca la finestra piccola ma si sapeva dalle foto caricate in descrizione della struttura.

I loved the Castle and the medieval village. It was like stepping back in time. Yet the room has all the necessary modern conveniences. A highlight was attending Emma’s yoga class. She is a highly skilled instructor and I learned better technique from her. I would stay there again.

The room doesn’t have AC but that did not bother me. There was a fan and window that opens electronically.
