Sun Suite - tiny home treehouse

De locatie is fantastisch. Middenin het Wet Tropics Rainforest. Alles is aanwezig. Je kan er zelfs je eigen maaltijd bereiden (airfryer). Wel van te voren ingrediënten meenemen. Aanrader om het regenwoud volledig te beleven.

Tiny house was voor ons moelijk te vinden. Ondanks uitgebreide routebeschrijving. Een herkenningsbordje met bijvoorbeeld de naam op of bij het huisje zal al enorm helpen. Voor meer privacy zou ik gekozen hebben voor een gordijn of iets dergelijks tussen slaapkamer en badkamer.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Sun Suite in Kuranda! The scenery around the cabin was beautiful making it a very peaceful retreat. The accommodation itself was comfortable, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. You can tell a lot of care has gone into creating a space that’s both functional and relaxing. Our host was very friendly and attentive to us during our stay. One of the biggest highlights for us was the outdoor bathtub. Soaking in the tub surrounded by nature, with no phone signal or wifi, was exactly the kind of detox we were craving. It was the perfect way to unwind and disconnect from the chaos of everyday life.

While we really enjoyed our stay at the Sun Suite, there are a couple of things worth noting. First, make sure you arrive during daylight hours if possible. We made the mistake of arriving later at night which made finding the cabin tricky for us. A few signs along the way would have made a big difference. We also experienced an issue with the hot water not working on our first night, which was frustrating after a long day of travel. That said, the host was incredibly responsive and had it sorted first thing after we brought it to their attention. Lastly, it's good to know that the ensuite bathroom in the room doesn't have a door. While the space is beautifully designed, a bit more privacy, especially while using the toilet, would have been much appreciated. None of these things were dealbreakers for us, but worth keeping in mind when planning your stay. Overall, it was still a truly memorable and relaxing getaway!

Overall, everything was amazing. Lovely bathtub outside, the bed was extremely comfortable and fire pit outside made our stay warm. There was a wake which wasn’t loud at all and even the music made the atmosphere better.I am very happy to stayed there. The host was very kind. One thing, I don’t recommend taking a bath at day time as I could see one group of people walking just behind the property. It would be more than perfect if it was a bit more covered by plants or something for the privacy. I would love to stay there again!
