Ahmed was a great host, always willing to help. The apartment has been renovated and is quite spacious. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it seems to meet our needs.

The building is quite old and dirty. Nobody cares about cleanliness. The biggest problem, however, is the noise from the street. It's almost impossible to sleep because of the noise (Car and motorcycle horns, people shouting, barking dogs …)

It is a spacious flat for two. Other than that, nothing was good.

The location was central but the area was horrible, terribly noisy and the building was super dirty. We couldn’t sleep properly at all for 4nights. That made the whole experience very bad. On top of that, there was no WiFi and the caretaker was not available to sort out internet issues. The washing machine did not work so we had to wash our clothes in the sink. Eventually the caretaker sent an underaged boy who didn’t speak English to help us dry the clothes and bring us water etc. Besides it being illegal, we were really upset to make a small boy work, but we had no choice really. Cairo was our last stop and because of the internet issues, I had to pay another $5 to top up phone data. I hate to say this but overall it was an unpleasant stay.
