The Ansi9

Situated about 25 mins from Edinburgh which is perfect if you have a rental car and don’t want to pay the exorbitant prices of a downtown hotel. Owner was fabulous and let us check in early as the room was already cleaned so we didn’t have to drag our luggage into an Edinburgh car park. We also really appreciated the little touches like cans of cold soda in the fridge and cookies on the table. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens for a family of 4. Furnishings were modern and the place was sparkling clean. Parking space was clearly marked and instructions throughout the property were clearly posted so it was easy to figure out WiFi. There was a floor fan in the main bedroom which we appreciated as the days/nights were sweltering.

Neighborhood is a little rough around the edges and it looks at the back of the co-op. It was very hot as it’s the dead of summer so a floor fan in the spare room would be a nice addition as the kids were pretty overheated at night. Mattresses were fairly hard but that’s just a matter of preference. I like softer beds but some people will like it super firm.

Our stay at Ansi 9 Nest was excellent. The hosts were exceptionally courteous, professional, and consistently helpful throughout our visit. The property was spacious, immaculately clean, and well equipped with all essential amenities, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. Additionally, the location is highly convenient, with easy access to the town centre and surrounding areas. We would confidently recommend this accommodation and would be pleased to stay again in the future.

Comfortable beds and a good size apartment. Good size shower and plenty hot water. Kitchen was well equipped. Space for parking. The property would benefit from a coffee machine for the price charged.

Upon arrival there were crumbs on the kitchen worktop, bedside table in twin bed room was very dusty as was the side table in lounge, floor around dining area could also do with a clean. Some towels are tired and need replaced. WiFi was patchy on the second evening so unable to watch tv or use our own mobile devices. Lorry picking up rubbish from the Coop next door after 1am using their reverse siren woke us up.
