The garden was very picturesque with lots of lovely features including various ponds and a wishing well, as well as staged seating to capture the evening sunset. The owners were continuing to develop and tidy up the huge and stepped levels garden they had inherited when they purchased the property, and it was great to see this work being undertaken. They helped us with our anxious dog by not approaching and keeping their own dog behind stairgate, etc. which was much appreciated and helped us to cope well. The dog exercise area was beautifully laid to lawn, with a path being developed down to the stream, where seating was already installed, to enjoy this peaceful and tranquil location. The owners very kindly allowed us to see their future developments in the forest area above the house, the greenhouses, the tortoise run and the Bee Hive and honey harvesting process, which was very interesting.

Although there were lots of steps up to the property, it did prove to be good exercise for us, albeit our little dog gave up and had to be carried. These steps were a little uneven, but added character to the garden and were being maintained very well to keep them as safe as possible.

It was a beautiful property in the most amazing setting.

I loved everything though I think if you weren’t able bodied then you may struggle with the steps.
