Highland House contains everything you need to relax and enjoy your time in the beautiful Lake Taupo region. The Master Bedroom has a Super King bed, and the second bedroom has a Super King, and a King Single bed, and the third Bedroom is situated in the East Wing of the property and has a Super King Bed and own bathroom. Heating is via two new heat pumps, however you also have the option of either an indoor fire to relax in front of, or the outdoor fire pit to enjoy under the stars at night.
With the potentially two seperate living spaces, and three bathrooms, Highland House is perfect for large families, or a group of friends who all like their own privacy.
At 642 metres (2,106 feet) above sea level, the unique elevated position commands extensive views of the surrounding countryside, the great lake, Mt Tauhara to the east, and the three volcanoes to the south (Mt. Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe, and Tongariro.) Whakaipo Bay can be seen below to the west of the house.
Grandview Estate includes tennis courts, walking tracks, and golf practice facilities all located on the estate for your use during your stay.
When you book to stay at Highland House you will have the entire property to yourselves to enjoy.

Highland House is in a private and safe, gated community perched high up above Lake Taupo. Only five minutes drive from the beautiful Whakaipo Bay, which is also the entrance to the W2K walking and mountain biking track. The W2K section of the Great Lake Trails provides great views across Lake Taupo and back down towards Kinloch. Also just around the corner from Highland House is L`Arte Cafe. This cafe was voted Lonely Planet‘s No 1 cafe pick for the Central North Island and one of the top 10 places to visit in New Zealand. L’Arté Café and Gallery is not to be missed when visiting Taupo.
