Absolutely stunning! It was prettier than our own home and beautifully finished. The cleaner was particularly helpful as one of our party became ill and we needed some help. She couldn't have been more helpful.

A cosy, beautifully decorated unit in the suburbs of Christchurch, within a building development area. With arguably one of the best scenery in the neighbourhood to be admired while sitting on the loungers facing the water with the mountain backdrop. The host was most generous leaving some basic provisions and condiments as well as treats like sparkling wine and biscuits. We arrived earlier than planned but it was no problem getting in before official check-in time.
Unfortunately the tranquility of the surroundings was diminished by the numerous houses being constructed around the shore of the waters, and the area is heavily populated rather than the relative isolation we wrongly assumed from the pictures in the website. The bath is also un-plumbed and not screened off, so better described as a ‘cold dipping tub’ if one is brave enough to face the cool weather even in summer. Despite this, it was a really enjoyable stay.
