Duval Apartments

Aga was very communicative & proactive about check in. The apartment was quite large & is attractive - even the stairway is pretty. It has a nice, quaint street view. There's a cafe below & a lovely tearoom in the basement, neither of which we used. The location is very close to Old Town. Overall, a great stay.

*The main downside is that the cafe below gets quite noisy, especially during clean up. We didn't hear anything the 1st night (a Thursday) but heard a lot the 2nd night (a Friday). I guess we were almost right over it; maybe other rooms don't have this problem. I had requested a quiet room, but this wasn't it, as the apparent furniture moving during cleanup was quite loud & lasted quite a while. *I did request a breakfast within the specified time (albeit near the end) but never heard back.

I had a wonderful stay at Duval Apartment! The apartment was charming, spacious, comfortable, clean, and perfectly located, making it easy to explore the city. The hostess was kind, welcoming and thoughtful.

The location was fabulous.. right between the Barbican and the Market Square. The room was big and comfortable. The hostess,Aga, couldn't do enough for us and extended our check- our time when we asked her

The tv wasn't reliable and the Internet worked on the telephone line,so for making posts it was actually better to go outside. Stairs may make it hard for elderly people, but we managed.

The location is excellent. It's clean and very spacious.

It's not easy to find and once we did, we had no idea how to get in. We had been told that the key would be available at a nearby kiosk. Those people proved unhelpful and we were stressed for some hours until eventually they helped. There was no sign of any agent or owner either then, or later when we tried to find wifi for communication. Nobody seemed to care less. I can't recommend this place for the shoddy way they treat their guests.
