Riverside Apartment with Stunning River Dart View

Location, views and spacious layout.

Very minor points but the shower hose in the ensuite needs to be longer and handwash in the bathrooms/kitchen would be helpful.

Stunnig views, great location

It look like the apartment hadn’t been vacuumed when we arrived, which was a little disappointing and soap dispensers in bathrooms had also not been refilled so we had to use our own body wash instead.

We really liked the view across the River Dart, which was fabulous. A ten minute stroll into town with lots to see. There’s a flatbed trolley in the utility room, which is really useful! Make sure you find it before unpacking your car! We also thought the heated clothes drying rack was very helpful. Great food at the Bayard's Cove Inn, which is a short walk away and Rockfish Fish & Chip takeaway. Would highly recommend the steam train return trip from Kingswear to Paignton (we accessed it as foot passengers on the passenger ferry near Bayard’s cove although other options are available).

We didn’t like the lack of parking (booking.com said it had private parking), although the owners had advised us in advance that there wasn’t any. The shower in the en suite bathroom was broken unfortunately, due to a split hose, so we had to use our daughter’s bathroom.

The views are lovely of the harbour and it’s great for access into the centre and out for walks.

Currently castle rd is closed and that means that getting luggage to the door is very tricky. The rental co have provided a trolley but you still need to get close enough by car to transfer it over. If you aren’t fit and able then be aware.
