The Distillery Room

The apartment was excellent. Quirky decor, clean and tidy. Great location except for the gulls on the buildings opposite, as it was warm we had to have the windows open, but couldn't sleep for the noise,but not alot owners of property can do about that.

It was a spacious flat, ideal for a short stay for 2. Close to the beach and a short walk to the railway station and big Tesco. We had here everything what we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything was labeled (for example where to put the mugs, plates etc.) but Scarborough has a lot of food options, so you would probably dine out. It was mostly clean (we have found a food wrap left by previous guests), very modern but in the same time cosy. The earplugs were a nice touch (I have never heard seagulls screaming like the ones in Scarborough and I travel around UK coast non stop). The matress was comfy and there were two TVs.

Pillows are quite flat. I think that due to hygienic reasons the earplugs should be packed separately (each of us got a loose pair of earplugs on our bedside tables and I found a box with more loose earplugs in the cupboard. Thankfully I had my own). Also the contact with the firm could be better, as my messages were responded two days after my inquiry and after that time my question wasn't relevant anymore. We booked The Distillery Room but I don't know why we landed instead in The Tap Room (another of their short-term let flat in the same building). Unfortunately I noticed it too late to pack everything again. I liked the interior of The Distillery Room more and do I have to say that The Distillery Room is more expensive than The Tap Room? I think it's not right and I should be informed about this change before check-in, especially that they offered us the earlier check-in for 15 GBP (so not only we paid more at the beginning, they wanted to have even more of our money).

Positioned perfectly for our plans. Had an afternoon in the town and went to a gig at the Spa at night. The apartment was amazing, spotlessly clean and decorated to an extremely high standard with everything that we needed. I would have loved to stay longer than the one night
