Bedrooms were very good, shower room great.

Stairs too steep without a handrail, sofas quite uncomfortable , back garden overgrown.

The house is in a great location, we stayed here for a sailing event hosted by Thorpe Bay YC. It is only a 3 min drive away and very close to the beach, town and Lidl. It's set back from the main road running along the beach, so it's quite at night. The house had everything we needed for a long weekend including fans in every room which was very welcome. You can park outside with a permit provided by the host, or you can park for free in another street less than a minute away. The host was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a nice stay!

Compared to anywhere else in the area, the price was very good. There might be some inperfections, but it is comfortable and clean.

Location was within easy walking distance of all amenities. Plenty of room for everyone with a nicely tiled bathroom and rainfall shower. Fab communication with owner.

Unable to use back garden due to overgrown weeds and a shame because a few chairs out there to sit when back in the evening would have gone down a treat. The single bed my 10 year old found uncomfy so maybe time for a new mattress. Other than that, for value alone, really great!

Great location, less than 5 min walk to beach and about 15 min walk to adventure island. Free parking for one car on rd outside. Fans were in most rooms which was great. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. One bathroom which is downstairs and one double bedroom downstairs which worked out perfectly for our needs. WiFi is great and smart tv was brilliant. Dog friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if we come to Southend on Sea again. Thank you x

A little rough around the edges in places (eg, rust on radiator in bathroom, some paint flaking off of walls, garden overgrown with thistles), reading some previous reviews we were aware of this before we came so it didn’t come as a surprise. Also stairs are steeper than we are used to and the handrail needs to be put back up, so it was handy to have the downstairs bedroom for the less agile.
