La Dolce Vita was obviously built with love by Luigi and Margaret and is the perfect place to relax in beautiful surroundings. Good communication with Margaret before we arrived and we were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and service from chef Michelle and Maybel was wonderful (and according to other guests better than another more expensive resort down the road). We learnt a lot about local customs and culture from Margaret and loved swimming in the lagoon and the walk to the top of the hill on the property. The villa was spacious, stylish, clean and well equipped and there were fresh fruit platters in the fridge for us everyday. Thank you to Margaret, Michelle and Maybel for a wonderful few days at La Dolce Vita, we loved it.

Margaret, the owner, and her team were incredibly warm and accommodating—ready to arrange anything we desired at prices far more reasonable than other resorts. Each evening, Chef Michele prepared exquisite four‑course gourmet dinners, thoughtfully customized to suit our preferences. He crafted every dish from scratch, using produce grown right on the property. Unlike our friends, who paid FJD $200 per person elsewhere, our meals were included in our well-priced stay. The photos on Booking.com don't do it justice - this is a slice of paradise.
Just remember to bring your own hairdryer and hair straightener if you need them as they are not provided. The great thing for Australians is that we don't need to bring an adaptor, we can plug our electrical appliances straight in :)

We had an amazing stay at La Dolce Vita, from the warm Fijian welcome to Chef Michelle’s organic/seasonal dishes. The villa was spacious and well designed, stunning ocean/garden views. Margaret helped arrange a fishing trip to their local hidden Salt Lake and a swim at a stunning rainforest waterfall. If you would like to see the real Fiji and wind down without the crowds this is the resort for you.

Our family's stay at La Dolce Vita felt like a homecoming. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of peace and warmth. We left a piece of our hearts in Savusavu, thanks to the incredible people and the paradise they've built. The oceanfront setting is a dream. Our children were fascinated by the vast tide pools, discovering sea stars and corals on reef walks, while kayaking in the calm lagoon became a daily ritual. This hidden gem offers a tranquility and seclusion that's hard to find. For a few magical days, we had this paradise all to ourselves. But what truly sets La Dolce Vita apart is the people, especially the owners, Margaret and Luigi. They've poured their warmth and spirit into the resort, welcoming us not as guests, but as family. Their genuine friendship was a trip highlight, and we’ll especially treasure sharing a teppanyaki dinner, where we talked for hours over Maotai wine like old friends. This family ambiance extends to the whole team. Chef Michelle crafted delicious, customized meals and graciously accommodated our plans. The kindness of all the staff, including Maybel and Eleni, made us feel completely cared for. This is more than a business; it’s a family. For adventurous families, there are plenty of activities. We recommend the waterfall excursion and snorkeling in Natewa Bay. For divers, the famous Rainbow Reef and White Wall are accessible via a day trip (we used Remote Island Dive for pickups). We are already dreaming of our return. If you are seeking a place that soothes the soul, fosters connection, and leaves you with memories of true Fijian hospitality and friendship, look no further.
