Beautiful Vancouver Cedar Cottage House

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was excellent, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and other amenities. Having our own parking space was a great bonus and made getting around very convenient. The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for our stay. Despite being close to everything, it was situated on a quiet street, making it a peaceful place to relax after a busy day exploring Vancouver. Host Kevin was very attentive and helped where he could to advise solutions or provide information. Lovely arrival gifts chocolates and grounded coffee and flesh flowers was a nice touch. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Vancouver.

One small area for improvement would be the contents of the fridge. There were a few items left behind by previous guests that were partially used, and some appeared to be past their best. This wasn't a major issue for us as we purchased our own groceries, but it may be worth checking and clearing the fridge between stays to ensure everything is fresh and ready for incoming guests. One thing that stood out to us aswell was the checkout process. We were asked to strip the beds, wash the sheets and towels, and take out the rubbish before leaving. We haven't stayed in many holiday homes where guests are responsible for this level of cleaning, so it came as a surprise. It wasn't a major issue for us, but it may be helpful for future guests to be aware of the checkout expectations before their stay.

Lovely, communicative host. Perfect place for a family to stay. Parking is difficult everywhere in Vancouver so we appreciated that the home had its own parking pad.

Location

The property description failed to mention that there are three narrow staircases to climb to access living spaces. Laundry is on third floor. As travelers in their late 70’s with heavy luggage this was quite a chore. Listings should be modified to disclose the necessity of climbing stairs
