XTC Villas Kefalonia - Villa X

XTC Villas was our favourite accommodation of our entire stay in Greece this year. We absolutely loved it and would return without hesitation. The location is incredibly picturesque, overlooking the mountains and lagoon and set within a peaceful village. It was wonderfully quiet and tranquil, which was exactly what we were looking for, while still being close enough to Argostoli for restaurants, cafés, ferries and everything else we needed. We also found it really centrally located for exploring the island, making it an ideal base for visiting Kefalonia’s main sights and beaches. What really elevated our stay, though, was the incredible hospitality from Isidora. She took the time to sit with us when we arrived and talk us through the island, sharing her recommendations for places to visit, things to experience and local tips that we simply wouldn’t have known otherwise. As both a local and a tour guide, her knowledge of Kefalonia is extraordinary and her advice genuinely enriched our time on the island. The thoughtfulness continued throughout the villa. When we arrived, the fridge had been generously stocked with provisions including eggs, yoghurt, fruit, ham, cheese, milk and bread. There was also a beautiful welcome basket filled with Kefalonian products, including local wine. These little touches made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The villa itself had absolutely everything we could possibly need. Beach towels, beach umbrellas, board games and a fully equipped kitchen with every amenity you could think of. So much thought has clearly gone into anticipating what guests might need during their stay. There was honestly nothing we found ourselves wishing they had provided. XTC Villas is one of those rare properties where the beautiful location, peaceful surroundings, thoughtful details and exceptional hospitality all come together. We stayed for five nights and genuinely wished we had booked longer.

The villa was beautifully done out. A lot of thought had gone into providing everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There was a generous 'starter kit' of provisions , gifts of local produce and we received a fantastic welcome from the owners agent, Isadora, who told us all about what to see and where to go, and was always on hand to help. Isadora and the owners even provided us with some extra equipment my husband needed due to mobility issues.

Nothing we didn't like. For constructive feedback I'd suggest some more hangers and a grill pan for the oven, but not much else!

A perfect choose to stay and explore Kefalonia

XTC is a wonderful, comfortable and stylish villa with everything you need. Isadora is a fantastic host with extensive knowledge on places to visit. The big bonus is the stunning panoramic view across the valley and bay. It was amazing to see that every day. Our kids loved the pool and it was close to town but also peaceful being up in the hills. Our favourite beach was Makris Gialos, just a 5 minute drive away, a gorgeous sandy beach lined with pine trees and free parking close by. Argostoli town centre is about a 10 minute drive with many supermarkets on the way, everything was really easy to get to. Our favourite restaurant was Baroque Le Bistro near the town square, great quality food. Highly recommend XTC Villa and the area for your Kefalonia adventure!
