We spent wonderful several days in Killin Highland lodges, we liked the location which is very close to the city, great views, very comfortable lodge, and lots of space and activities in the outside area as well, including fire pit and basketball ring. It was so enjoyable to sit and breakfast by the table outside and enjoy the nature.

When we arrived on Saturday afternoon, there was no staff and we did not receive any message about how our cottage was named. We could not reach by the phone call and discovered our cottage just by pure luck - it was open and there was our name on it. On Sunday we also wanted to have a barbecue but it was not clear how to reach staff either, as it seemed like nobody was present in the park. And the last bit, which totally surprised me, is that the towels were not provided and needed to be paid for separately - to be honest, this was the first time in all my travel history, and completely unexpected, for quite a considerable booking fee (~100GBP per night). As we also did not know how to reach the staff in order to purchase them, we had to use our T-shirts to dry ourselves after the shower.

Lovely location, moments away from the village with beautiful walking trails in the woods behind. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the facilities were spotless. Cabin was larger than expected and space was plentiful - with an outside table to sit at and enjoy the sunshine.

Nothing really to complain about, the shower was a little bit on the smaller side. However anything potentially difficult has clear instructions for use (I.e. the coin meter for the electricity)

Location

Cobwebs, unpleasant smell in lodge. Needs upgrading, cushions on sofa and bed old and faded. Nothing in the small print about paying extra for electricity. Had to find any atm as don’t carry cash.
