The Lodge

Property was in a lovely location with countries views for miles, it had everything needed for our stay and we had a great 3 days away.

Our only niggle was the cockerel calling in the morning but actually found it quite funny once it happened.

Ideal location for our needs. Lovely to have breakfast goodies.

I would have liked a grill, but that's a personal preference & not practical in the space available, so a toaster sufficed..

The hosts were very welcoming and the location was lovely, even if a little difficult to find. They provide some basic essentials such as bread, butter, jam, tea bags & milk. However, this wasn’t mentioned on the booking so we had already done a shop before arriving.

It was full of bugs/spiders and someone’s fake eyelashes dotted around the place (on the fan and bath mat). Unfortunately it was far too hot and the fan provided was not adequate enough to cool the place down. There was also dirt on top of the bedding, which may have been from the open windows when we arrived (I think opened in an effort to cool the place down but unfortunately it didn’t). The instructions on how to find the place could be more detailed because we didn’t realise it was within Hawkes Farm as it was mentioned.
