Mountainview Escape - Te Anau Holiday House

Well equipped home. Comfortable beds. Easy bike ride to town. We loved the home. Kids enjoyed all of the games supplied, thank you.

We arrived to find the fire on which was lovely but then had only 2 pieces of firewood and a bag of kindling for our stay. We requested more since we were staying 4 nights and this was organised for delivery the next morning which was appreciated. We did run out again but didn't want to have to ask for more. We purchased additional wood from the petrol station. Would have been nice to get sufficient wood supply from the get go so it wasn't an issue as this admin did impact our experience. There is a heatpump but its not as effective at heating the home in such cold temperatures.

Good location in quiet residential area while still close to town amenities. Comfortable clean home with big sliding doors, plenty of seating, well stocked kitchen. Big backyard with outdoor seating although we didn't take advantage of it. Having a washer is very convenient.

Although it wasn't a problem for our party of two, note that the only bath has a shower and tub but no toilet. There is only one WC and it has no sink (one can use the sink by the washer directly outside the WC). This layout could be challenging for a larger group.
