Ottavia apartment

Location very central for where we wanted to go. Great proximity to restaurants, convenience stores and all major tourist attractions. Quiet location, got great sleep ready for walking next day. All the facilities you expect from an apartment. Comfortable bed, good shower, clean kitchen facilities. Good WIFI. Secure. Felt like safe area. Prompt communication from apartment owner.

Nothing. Everything was perfect. Wonderful trip.

הדירה היתה מאד נוחה, הכל היה נקי ולא היה חסר דבר. בעלת הבית מאד זמינה ואדיבה. המיקום מעולה - מאפשר הליכה ברגל למרבית אתרי התיירות, מגוון גדול מאד של מסעדות יהודיות כשרות במרחק של 150 מ' וכך גם בית הכנסת הגדול. מאד מומלץ

Magnifique

The location is great. You can walk to any sightseeing spot in less than 30 min. The apartment was quite clean although we didn’t ise the closets because they are old without any liners in them.

They ask for the tourist tax upfront in cash and they did tell me about it. I didn’t get a chance to exchange my cash to Euros before arriving at the apartment. I asked if I could pay it in a few hours on the same day once my mom arrives with euros but they didn’t allow it. Instead they showed me an ATM nearby which has a horrible exchange rate and commission on top of it. Most hotels let you pay this tax with card or cash until you check out. They could have been more accommodating. Additionally, the owner has a bunch of automation in the apartment that shuts off the AC when nobody is home. We had a hard time heating the unit to a reasonable temperature the first night so I left the AC on when leaving a couple times. Although AC was shut off automatically both times, the owner also sent me some unpleasant texts that I have to shut off the AC when leaving the apartment because electricity is expensive. As the automation does it anyway, why do I have to do it? It didn’t make sense and I was quite bothered by the nosy behavior of the owner. The beds aren’t very comfortable too.
