Located at the heart of Rome near the Pantheon. Had a lovely host Marco who was very helpful for the check-in process and even let us check in an hour early when we requested it.

Steep and narrow roman steps to the property was time consuming because you need to be very careful. However, i was pre-warned about it months in advance by the host, which i was grateful for

Excellent location, could not be better

Everything, beautiful, cosy, comfortable. Historic building. And if you are a fan of Emilie in Paris (Rome) the Appartement is right in front of the turtle fountain which is shown on episode 10 from season 4 “All roads lead to Rome” beautiful, amazing, magical. I am definitely coming back, I am in love with this place, Marco is an amazing host.

Everything is at a walking distance. There’s a store and pharmacy in front of this property. There’s also a couple of great restaurants right in front.

BE WARNED: Extremely Hot, Physically Challenging Access, and Questionable Check-in Practices This property is extremely hot inside. While there is an air conditioning unit advertised, it does not function properly. Sleeping here can be brutally uncomfortable due to the oppressive heat throughout the night. Additionally, the bed and couches are rock hard—truly uncomfortable for resting or sleeping. The apartment is on the third floor, and getting there is a serious challenge. The staircase is absurdly narrow, winding, and steep—making the climb genuinely difficult and even dangerous. If you are overweight, have a mobility impairment, are pregnant, elderly, sick, low-energy, or simply traveling with heavy luggage, you should absolutely AVOID this property. Access is physically demanding and borderline unsafe for anyone not in good health. While the property description mentions the stairs, it does not fully convey how restrictive and difficult they really are. Consider this a clear warning: the limitations are very real, and the climb can be painful and exhausting. In addition, the shower doesn’t work properly. From the shower head being broken to the drain system taking hours to work. Regarding check-in: The owner/manager(Marco) will meet you in person, and you must pay the City Tax in CASH—no cards or receipts. While paying the tax itself is standard in Rome, the cash-only requirement feels unprofessional and leaves no paper trail. This was uncomfortable for us as we prefer to document all expenses. More alarmingly, the property owner/manager will manually photograph your passports at check-in rather than using a secure online check-in system (which is common at many other properties). This can feel invasive and risky. I strongly recommend you record the details of who took photos of your passports and notify your country’s passport agency about it for safety and tracking purposes.
