It didn’t happen

The White Horse was closed and looked abandoned. We were told by a local that there was nobody at the premises anymore, and was and closed down. We had to look around for another place to stay. Very poor that nobody had alerted us to the closure, and it left us vulnerable to finding somewhere else!!

Close to the station and close to the town - perhaps most importantly close to the elderly friend we were visiting

Where do we start? It’s unloved, tatty, unpleasant. Don’t mind basic but object to dirty, smelly and falling apart. Overflowing ashtrays just about summed it up. And the description “Apartment’ when it’s a a small room…who are they kidding? Drawer handles fixed with blu-tac, hot water tap moving freely and not attached, central light not working (though someone had wedged a knob of paper in the light socket to try to repair it) with a paper wedge, towel rail not there, towels and sheets decades old thin, flat screen TV (30 years old) with hand-marks all over the screen…. I was so shocked by so much that disgusted me I couldn’t bring it up with the landlord and his wife. Surely they know this is unacceptable?

The room served its purpose. You get what you pay for. Reasonable budget accommodation.

The location was brilliant, right in the middle of Cromer. Bed looked clean and was reasonably comfortable.

Describing it as an ‘apartment’ is a bit of a stretch! It was a small room, rough around the edges, wobbly tap, kettle behind the TV as no where else it could go. Could do with a bit of TLC. It is not a room you would want to spend a lot of time in but we were out most of the time.

Cromer is lovely but I would advise against staying at this property.

It’s location

Unprofessional service as they phoned us on the second evening of our stay wondering if we were going to check in ?, room lacking basics, no hand towels, no shower mat, no glasses in bathroom, shower head covered in mould, no food available at the property at all, staff gave the impression of not caring.

With a bit more attention to detail it could be good as it’s in an excellent location.

The location was perfect and the price was fine although we would have paid more for breakfast. The room was ok for an overnight stop but needs more attention to detail- see below.

Light could have worked , there was no hot water - had to boil the kettle for a wash. One tap was loose. The heating didn’t work and it was a chilly night but there was an extra blanket. Didn’t bear any resemblance to your picture.

It was convenient for me staying in Cromer.

Was turned away as room wasn't ready (I got there at 3'oclock, the said time) - come back in an hour!! Came back after hour and quarter - room still not ready. I was poised to ask for money back and go find somewhere else to stay when the lady came with the key. No breakfast.

A cheap stay but could have been a better experience

Location ok, room was a good size,, bed comfy enough. cheap, perhaps but still not great value

Bedding smelt fusty, shower tile mouldy. Someones old comb in the shower which shows how well cleaned it gets. Little dish of instant coffee granules in cling film. No breakfast option, even cereal / toast. Proprietor didn't seem interested. Whole thing seemed amateurish. A lot of traffic noise, but that's just the location. God only knows where they were all going.

Great value!

My friend and I booked this fairly last minute for a gig we were attending at the pier. Reading some of the previous reviews we weren’t expecting much, but were both pleasantly surprised! The room and bathroom were clean, there was everything we needed for a quick overnight stop, spacious secure car park, close to all amenities- what more could you want? We collected our key at the bar from Maxine on arrival, who was very pleasant and helpful, we also had the additional bonus of an extra bed in our room which suited us perfectly. For the price charged, I don’t understand why anyone would complain, the property is old, but that adds to the charm and although it is on the main road, we both got a really good nights sleep. We will definitely be booking here again when we come back next year!

Great stay in the centre of town.

A large room obviously providing lots of space for relaxing sleeping etc. The bathroom suits all your needs, the shower is an electric type which is not that powerful but provides satisfactory cleaning after a hard days work. The parking is ample with marked out bays. Location is great for exploring the town if you are visiting as a tourist or I was here for work project.

Perhaps if you are a light sleeper then with the property being sited on a fairly busy road the traffic noise may be a problem but for me it was fine. The rooms being on the first floor of a pub again may be of concern for some from the activities downstairs. But I found all to be good.

Cromer weekend

Great location with parking able to come and go as we like

Very noisy though to be expected. Rooms very basic but served a purpose. Worn towels could do with some new. Had to ask for a kettle then had to put it on the floor to use as the lead was not long enough. One small jug of fresh milk asked for another for the second night and never got it (though they were busy working in the bar). No hand wash in the bathroom ( though that's me just being picky)

La posizione.

Il letto sembrava non essere stato neanche rifatto era tutto spiegazzato. Il bagno era sporco, nel lavandino c'erano dei peli e sotto la tavoletta del water tracce di urina. La doccia funziona male con poca acqua ma si riesce a farla Il sapone per le mani che ci hanno lasciato era già stato usato Nei termosifoni c'è polvere da secoli. Il bollitore non era stato neanche svuotato dell' acqua usata in precedenza ed era comunque sporco sia dentro che fuori.
