Cosy yurt at a nature retreat in Sequoia Forest

Very quiet peaceful nature camp site. The GPS worked for us well and we found the place without problems but they also have signs alone the road and detailed directions in email. The hostess met us upon arrival as we were the only ones coming that day. We were pleased with great views of sunset and starry nights there. We loved the cows and wild life around. There is wild blackberries by the lake on the property we were allowed to pick, so good. The yurt was spacious and fun to be in and beds were clean and comfortable. They have mini fridge, electric kettle, dishes, paper towels, some coffee and necessities in yurt. The electric outlets work well to charge phones and there's enough lighting inside and they have electric fan and heater inside. Also gas grill next to yurt and picnic table. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

There were few inconveniences mostly due to the location and not the host's luck of efforts. We had to walk to the bathroom and shower and to wash dishes down the dusty steep hill down and up again from our yurt. Short walk but intence cardio nevertheless. The yurt located on dusty durt hill, so make sure to have sneakers or boots on every time you walk anywhere. And there's no hot water at all. Although it is not too cold. Cool shower was refreshing after a hot day.

Yurt is reflective of outside temp & has minimal ventilation... but hey - its a yurt. Little challenging cooking on one gas ring.

After visiting Kings Canyon, we stayed in a yurt (also known as a ger). It's a secluded campsite with incredibly beautiful scenery. The night sky and the stars were especially stunning. The yurt was cozy, and it was a wonderful experience. And I absolutely have to mention that the owners were incredibly kind!! They kindly helped us resolve a personal issue, allowing us to have a comfortable night's stay. We extend our sincere gratitude to them.

This post is about my personal disappointment, not a problem with the campsite itself. I booked the place without realizing it was a campsite. 😥 Since it's a campsite, it's located in a somewhat remote area, making it difficult to access amenities like shops and restaurants. The campsite is well-equipped with barbecue facilities, so if I had prepared meat to grill, it would have been a much more satisfying stay.

Everything was perfect. Can’t complain.
